It tasted great and satisfied my Chinese palate 😋

邓福

Great authentic Chinese flavors. Highly recommend!

Sam Sy

The food was fresh and so many options!! I personally like the Tom Yum soup but you can’t go with any soup choice. This is a weigh and pay so make sure you don’t over do it!

Marian N

Can be a line to get in. Recommend to go on off time, either early dinner or an early lunch to avoid waiting. Price is by the pound, so be mindful of that. Other than that, it was really tasty soup and love the dipping options too.

Quyen Kuo

I’ve been coming here for a few times now. It is excellent every time. Lots of options for different types of noodle and toppings, along with so many vegetables. I like a lot of the soup options but my favorite is the dry sauce, super spicy but really good.

Josh Harrah

#6 hot with two yam noodles is the move 🫃🏻

First time here. Great concept where u pick your own ingredients and broth. Little pricy, but was worth the experience ! Will definitely return

Love coming here! Always a fun guessing game with friends and family to see the bowl weight prices lol. All the ingredients have been fresh and service is quick. 😊

Delicious!

I recently tried YGF Malatang and it was honestly really good. The noodles were super flavorful and had a nice chewy texture that made them really satisfying to eat. The broth soaked into everything perfectly, so every bite tasted rich and comforting. I also liked that the ingredients tasted fresh and well cooked. The drinks were surprisingly good too. They were refreshing and balanced the spicy noodles really well, especially after a few bites of the malatang. It made the whole meal feel complete.

Yiran Zhang

The food was delicious! And we even got to see an Elon Musk doll!

My dad and I always come here whenever we can! It's been our thing! Always fresh looking ingredients, and the staff will always try to help you find a seat when busy.

It was my first time to try malatang. You can choose your toppings like at a buffet. The soup is spicy and garlicky, and very delicious. I went alone, but during lunch hours, you can share a table.

Welcome to the real spicy. Level 2 is spicy enough for Koreans. Iced tea is a must🫶🏻

Who’s MIKI?

Arrived in Budapest and finally got to eat the Mala Tang (spicy hot pot) I'd been craving for so long at Yang Guofu. I was so craving rice 😭😭😭 It was so delicious!! The broth wasn't just plain spicy, it was so good!! And Zhou Zhou's service was impeccable! ❤️❤️❤️

バナバナ

It's so delicious! 😋 I'd even wait in line to eat it.

Alita l

It was delicious, just like the food in the university cafeteria. The service was good, and the vegetables seemed very fresh.

I recently visited this new restaurant and had been curious about it, so I tried Mala Dan for the first time. I asked a male staff member for recommendations since it was my first time, and he kindly explained the best ingredients. I had the corn noodles and the Sichuan-style soup! The spiciness was unique and delicious, unlike anything I've had in Japan. I don't usually sweat much when eating spicy food, but unusually, I felt warm from the inside and even broke a slight sweat. To give you an idea for those who haven't tried Mala Dan, it's like eating extremely spicy Mapo Tofu with various ingredients. I would like to come again.

みさみさ

I went with a friend around 11:30 AM on a weekday. The restaurant was about half full, and more customers kept coming in after us. We were lucky there was no wait. We went because it's supposedly the most famous for Mala Tang. The restaurant was very clean, which I liked. I thought we ordered quite a lot, but the bill was only about 1300 yen. The ingredients—wood ear mushrooms, white wood ear mushrooms, and bun moja—were delicious. The leafy greens wilted nicely, so I think we could have added more. There's also a dipping sauce that you serve yourself. The soup was cloudy, rich, and incredibly delicious! I chose the level 3 spicy soup, but it was perfectly manageable. I'd like to come again. Thank you for the meal.

Fretti Wulandari

This is a mala tang restaurant where you choose your own ingredients, such as vegetables and meat, and put them in a bowl; the price is determined by weight. You can also choose the spiciness level from 1 to 5 at the end, so I chose level 3 this time. The spiciness was just right, and the soup tasted delicious and suited my palate perfectly. The staff were friendly, and the food came out quickly. However, the restaurant isn't very spacious, so we had to wait a little while for a table to become available. That was the only minor issue, but the food was excellent.

さーち

As always it was delicious and smooth.

I arrived around 2:00 PM, a little after lunchtime. The restaurant had about 15 two-seater tables, two four-seater tables, and three counter seats. I was lucky to be able to sit down right away. First, I took the tongs and plate from inside the door and added my favorite ingredients. I'd done my homework on social media, so I was careful not to take too much... If I filled my plate, the bill would easily reach around 2,000 yen, and I might end up with more than I expected and not be able to finish it all. You can choose only the ingredients you like, so it's fun to have just vegetables or just seafood. If you take more than 100g of ingredients, you get complimentary noodles like glass noodles, which is great. You can also choose the soup and spiciness, so it's fun to customize your meal to your liking. At first bite, I thought, "Oh, this tastes foreign," but it was so addictively delicious that I ended up finishing the soup. I recommend it.

Shanshan Tong

Great service food and quality

vivian tuong

Stopped by for a quick bite. The self-selected ingredients and broth options worked really well for me—picked the bone broth this time, super flavorful and felt rich without being heavy. They don’t skimp on the toppings; everything felt fresh and there’s definitely a lot to choose from. Staff was friendly, got things done fast, even during busy hours. Overall, good food, good service—felt like they’ve got their process figured out.

Han Nguyen

The food here is legit tasty and feels fresh—like, you can pick your own ingredients, which I thought was pretty cool. The broth options were great too; I went for the bone broth and it had this rich, almost comforting flavor. Place seemed clean, and the staff were nice, really chill but helpful when I couldn’t decide haha. Oh, and the portions? Definitely enough without being overwhelming. Feels like a spot you’d want to try when you’re craving something flavorful but not overly heavy. Works for me.

Ally

Love that this spot is open so late, and they kee everything stocked throughout the day. It's one of the most popular places near UCI. It's completely customizable down to the soup base and even the spice level of your soup! At just 14.99 a Ib, you get so much food for what you pay for. Love this spot!

best malatang i’ve been to in irvine. i’ve only been to two but this place clears the other one… beef better, broth better, fishcakes better, need i say more?

Delicious!

Veronika Watson

The pot here is crazy good—flavors hit just right, and the spice level was spot-on without overpowering everything. The tomato soup? Surprisingly nice, a good balance of tangy and sweet. Service felt chill and friendly, which made it all better. I don’t usually do reviews, but I’d come back for this.

Delicious! 😋

A few days ago, I was strolling around Irvine with a friend when I suddenly craved mala tang (spicy hot pot) and discovered Yang Guofu! What a pleasant surprise! 🍢 Their bone broth mala tang is definitely their signature dish. The broth is incredibly rich and flavorful, not watered down at all. I added tons of ingredients—a huge variety, from vegetables to meatballs—it was almost too much to choose from! 😝 🌶️ I also tried the mala ban (spicy mixed salad), which is perfect when you don't feel like drinking soup! The sauce was perfectly seasoned, not too salty but incredibly flavorful. Parking is super convenient, right on Dupont Dr. The staff were also incredibly friendly, constantly asking if our tastes suited them. A perfect experience! 💯 2626 Dupont Dr suite A90, Irvine

A fantastic concept! Huge selection of fresh ingredients: salad, vegetables, various tofu and pasta types, meat, fish, seafood, and much more. Simply put what you like in your bowl and choose from several incredibly flavorful broths. Dips, toppings, and packaging are free. We'll be back very soon! 😋

Mariana Souza

Always on a cold day the perfect place to stay warm!

I wish I had the right words to describe my feelings for this place, but I'm at a loss... it's simply an experience! The ingredients for self-service are all very fresh, hygienically presented, and there's no unpleasant odor. The portion of soup is also enormous. The orange design isn't really my style, but I suppose that's a matter of taste. The food, however, is absolutely fantastic.

Kawalog 3.8 Like other restaurants, you choose your own ingredients, but they're left out, so freshness is a concern. The flavor is generally good. There's a decent amount of seating, and the turnover is fairly fast.

I'm a Taiwanese tourist visiting Japan in February 2026. If you have an Asian palate and are craving hot soup and blanched vegetables, you absolutely must try this! It was raining in Rome that day, and I really didn't want to eat another cold sandwich. Luckily, I saw a Yang Guo Fu nearby, so I went in. 💰You choose all the vegetables, meat, and toppings yourself. You take as much as you want and then go to the counter to weigh and pay. 100 grams seemed to be around 2.5 euros. I initially thought it would be cheaper than a restaurant, but seeing so many kinds of blanched vegetables was so exciting that I ended up taking lots and lots of stuff. €22… My travel companion got it for €11, so it must be my problem. 🥬 The portion of vegetables was indeed very generous. Having been here for so many days, it had been a long time since I'd had hot vegetables, so I was very touched. There was cabbage, Chinese cabbage, spinach, bok choy, seaweed sprouts—a wide variety of vegetables, none of which you'd find in Italian restaurants. The non-spicy tomato soup had MSG, but hot soups aren't common in Italy, and it was a cold day, so it was still very satisfying. Thank you to this restaurant for saving us homesick Asians!

Rene S

I love the simple style of hotpot! My friend brought me to this place. To my surprise, this is actually a simple hotpot style: you take whatever you want, give it to the staff, choose your preferred broth or soup, and they prepare it for you! It was SOooooo GOOD and DELICIOUS!! Mouth-watering hotpot!! It is a MUST to GO!!

Queenie Hsiang

It’s really yummy 😋 love it❤️

Alice Wang

Super delicious, a flavor Taiwanese people would love too. The spicy beef, chrysanthemum greens, and knife-cut noodles are good; the duck blood is raw, which is fine. Clean, tasty, and with internet access. If you like spicy food, you can order the bone broth medium spicy (about the same as regular mild spicy).

It's delicious!

まさかーくん

You choose your own ingredients. Lots of vegetables. I love cilantro. The wood ear mushrooms have a great texture. The bamboo shoots have a great texture too. The meat is delicious. Above all, the mala tang broth is delicious. It's spicy, but it's an addictive kind of spiciness. It's a popular restaurant, so there's a line even on weekdays, so I recommend going before opening time.

A strange place, unlike anything I'm used to. You walk in and see a refrigerated cabinet filled with all sorts of vegetables, shrimp, and other dishes I couldn't even list. You choose your items, go to the register, they prepare your order, you choose your broth, and a few minutes later you're enjoying your meal. Don't hesitate, it's very good and quite different from what you're used to, unless you're Chinese.

I've been to Yougofuku many times and the food is always delicious!

kkk

The downside is that the shop is way too small and cramped. Both the spicy soup and beef bone soup flavors are authentically Chinese. Spending over 1000 yuan gets you 80g of noodles as a gift; I recommend the beef tendon noodles, they have a great texture. On my second visit, I ordered the newly released "Extremely Spicy Red Oil Soup" flavor, which tastes just like a spicy mixed dish! It's incredibly flavorful, spicy, and addictive. I recommend adding glass noodles, tofu skin, and meatballs.

I went to Yang Guofu Mala Tang! It's a popular restaurant, so I usually have to wait about an hour no matter when I go. It was lively with lots of young people! The restaurant is relatively small, so I think it's more suitable for friends or small groups than families. There are seating areas on both the first and second floors! This time I ordered the 2-spice level, with cabbage, quail eggs, knife-cut noodles, lotus root, bamboo shoots, potatoes, and dumplings. 🍜🔥 It had a good balance of spiciness and flavor, and was very delicious. The wait is long, but it's worth it! 💕💕

I had a great experience at Yang Guo Fu Malatang. The build-your-own format is fun and customizable, with a wide selection of fresh ingredients. The broth was rich, flavorful, and had a nice spicy kick. Everything felt satisfying and well-prepared. The atmosphere is casual, and the service was quick and efficient. A great spot for a comforting meal.

大空旅人

Yang Guo Fu Mala Tang, which also has branches in Japan. The reason I keep coming back to this branch is because: - No lines, always empty - Clean - Very spacious The Mala Tang ordering process is as follows: ① Take a bowl and tongs ② Take your ingredients ③ Place them on the weighing counter at the register ④ Tell the cashier your soup and spice level (3 levels) ⑤ Tell them if you want a drink here ⑥ Get a pager and wait ⑦ While waiting, get water and condiments from the self-service corner Note that the self-ordering machine you see first upon entering is for ordering dishes other than Mala Tang, such as dim sum. If you are only ordering Mala Tang, ignore it and take a bowl and tongs. There are several types of soup, including Classic Herbal Beef bone broth. (Non-spicy options include Fish maw & Chicken and Sweet sour tomato), and you can also choose Mala dry pot (Mala bun without soup). My usual toppings are wood ear mushrooms, bamboo shoots, dried tofu, shrimp, white fish, Spam, sweet potato noodles, lamb, beef, and pork. [2026.3] * Mala Tang (Beef bone broth) $18 [2026.1] * Mala Tang (Beef bone broth) $18.21 My companion's tomato soup was also delicious, like minestrone. Adding extra bamboo shoots this time was a great decision. [2025.11] * Mala Tang (Beef bone broth) $17.27 [2025.10] * Mala Bun (Mala Dry pot) $15.96 My first Mala Bun. It was delicious, like fried noodles. This restaurant's spiciness is milder than Mala Panda (10 minutes walk from here), which I ate around the same time. The beef bone broth here is also tastier. I might prefer the toppings at the other restaurant, though. [2025.9] - Mala Tang (Beef bone broth) [2025.8] - Mala Tang (Beef bone broth) $18.11 [2025.7] - Mala Tang (Beef bone broth) $15.32 [2025.6] - Mala Tang (Beef bone broth) $22.61 [2025.5] - Mala Tang (Beef bone broth)

Yan Yan (Avery)

You get to pick what meats and veggies you want, they weight it, you pick your broth then pay. If you are eating in, they do have a sign saying that you must tip if you dine in—which is kind of off-putting. The broth was delicious and they have a sauce bar so you can make your own dip. Wish they have more veggie options but honestly it was pretty good!

Aabha Shah

Love the food and choices they have here

calvin thompson

Delicious malatang near Union square. Great for lunch or dinner, bone broth was delicious. Wide array of toppings and things to add

张坦

I recently tried Yang Guo Fu Malatang and had a great experience. The best part is being able to choose your own ingredients, which makes the meal very personalized and fun. There were many fresh options like vegetables, meats, seafood, tofu, and noodles.

NANA

I have eaten here many times. I’ve also been to another branch of the same chain in Tokyo, but I feel that the malatang at this Hammersmith location tastes better. The price is a bit high, but it’s worth it. The restaurant is clean, and the staff are friendly. When customers leave their seats, the staff carefully disinfect the tables before guiding the next customers. Depending on the time of day, there may be fewer ingredients available.

Ellie Martin

Good selection of fresh vegetables and soup ingredients, including many vegan broths and preparation options. Good value for money, like any other Malatang restaurant. The seating is in a very open, echoing space and relatively close to your neighbors, which can feel a bit cramped, especially when it's crowded. Very friendly staff.

Christine Kubitza

We discovered this restaurant in the market hall and came back the next day specifically to eat malatang. The atmosphere could be much cozier. All the ingredients were very fresh and presented cleanly. They offered vegan broths for us, and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal.

AbFoodreview

The food is halal; you serve yourself whatever you want and it gets prepared right in front of you. It's delicious to eat in a small place with delicious oyster sauce and wok dishes. Highly recommended; super clean, just as it should be. I really recommend everyone eat here, especially when comparing it to the other Asian establishments in the Markthal. I can easily tell you that Hotbowl is the best, both in terms of food hygiene and the thought put into separating pork and chicken, as well as the halal certifications they manage. I come here quite often, and you should know: if anyone dares to show what happens in the kitchen, realize that nothing crazy is served, unlike what most people will say and expect.

Marie-Aimée Lamers

Always delicious food here! It's great that you can customize your bowl exactly how you like it, with lots of options. Expect to pay around €20 per person.

Rongsheng Liu

Very authentic Chinese Malatang in the middle of iconic food hall in Rotterdam. There are abundant choices of meat, veggies, and tofu products which looks fresh. The price is kindly reasonable in Netherlands’ standard. The owner is very helpful in finding my umbrella that was lost in the restaurant.

It's really delicious. I went here because I liked the reviews of other mala-tang restaurants, but this one is more similar to Korean mala-tang. It tastes similar to Tang Hua Kung Fu!! I was told that Yang Guo Fu Mala Tang is a great place for beginners, so I went there alone, feeling a bit nervous. It's about a 5-minute walk from Takadanobaba Station. First, you grab a large bowl and tongs from the sterilization cabinet and pick your desired ingredients. I added some bun moja, colorful fish roe kamaboko, lamb, etc., and headed to the cashier. I was told, "You're 40g short; you won't get the free noodles unless you reach 100g," and asked to add more. I was surprised to learn that 100g is quite a lot! (Maybe I only picked light things?) After weighing again, I was over 100g, so I got the free beef tendon noodles! After paying, I sat down and waited for my order. While waiting, I picked up chopsticks, a spoon, a cup, a paper apron, and toppings from near the cashier. There's a number on the receipt, and the staff will bring it to you while calling out the number, so you raise your hand and say, "Here I am!" and your bowl is served. I ordered the Mala Tang with level 2 spiciness, and it was spicy and delicious! This is the kind of spiciness I crave when I'm super stressed! It was so spicy that my face turned bright red and my nose was running, but it was incredibly tasty. Customers kept coming in one after another, but the staff handled them efficiently. It seems you can't reserve a seat in advance. They told me, "We'll show you to a seat, so please get your ingredients first." The staff's smiles were wonderful, and even though I was a little nervous about eating Mala Tang alone, I felt at ease. Thank you for the meal.

hico

I came to try the recently popular Mala Tang. I wasn't quite sure how ordering Mala Tang worked, but the total was 1134 yen. The price varies depending on the gram amount. The soup was surprisingly spicy! Be careful when ordering, as anything above medium spicy is quite hot! It was very delicious, but the restaurant was a bit dark, making it slightly intimidating to enter from the outside. Thank you for the meal.

I walked in, thinking, "Huh? This is the same place I went to in Jujo just the other day?" As expected of Baba, if I hadn't been there before in Jujo, I probably would have avoided going in, judging by the exterior. To be honest, I've passed by it so many times I didn't even notice... The food is delicious, as expected. I tried a little bit of every noodle this time, and they were all delicious ♡ I love the knife-cut noodles, which taste like sukiyaki. As expected, the top tier is too high for someone of short stature... Also, you have to use your own chopsticks, spoon, and water from the cup here; I wish they'd explained that!

Марал Ягмурова

I love the simple style of hotpot! My friend brought me to this place. To my surprise, this is actually a simple hotpot style: you take whatever you want, give it to the staff, choose your preferred broth or soup, and they prepare it for you! It was SOooooo GOOD and DELICIOUS!! Mouth-watering hotpot!! It is a MUST to GO!!

Super delicious, a flavor Taiwanese people would love too. The spicy beef, chrysanthemum greens, and knife-cut noodles are good; the duck blood is raw, which is fine.

まさかーくん

You choose your own ingredients. Lots of vegetables. I love cilantro. The wood ear mushrooms have a great texture. The bamboo shoots have a great texture too. The meat is delicious.

Can be a line to get in. Recommend to go on off time, either early dinner or an early lunch to avoid waiting. Price is by the pound, so be mindful of that. Other than that, it was really tasty soup and love the dipping options too.

First time here. Great concept where u pick your own ingredients and broth. Little pricy, but was worth the experience ! Will definitely return

Daniel Sivils

This is one of the best places to eat. Worth the wait and always good.

Love coming here! Always a fun guessing game with friends and family to see the bowl weight prices lol. All the ingredients have been fresh and service is quick. 😊

Raymond Cheyne

A little bit pricey. Parking is hard to find!

Denis Bauer

We come here often, the food is very tasty, the prices are fair, and the service is friendly.

I've been there several times now and it's really very good! Unfortunately a bit expensive, but otherwise good.

We waited in line for about 30 minutes, but it was worth it! The restaurant was kept clean and we enjoyed the delicious spicy food!

there was not many options of Mala, so this one is pretty good. queue is long but if you crave of Mala it's worth waiting.

Food and service was really good, value for money and the broth flavor is amazing

very good food and friendly prices

Lemony Liu

Authentic Chinese food, as a Chinese this is where I can help with my homesick stomach. The waiters are nice and the environment is clean. Lots of options, great prices. Love it.

Obamanyan

It's really very good and cheap, you can decide which ingredients to choose and the variety is very wide.

Victoria Sandoval

The products are fresh and the amount of food is very good value for the price. I go very often. Highly recommended!

Jordi Peris

Very good, excellent value for money.

I was starving when I arrived in Barcelona at night, and to my surprise, Yang Guofu, a restaurant that's just as familiar to me as the ones back home, was open! The prices were incredibly reasonable, and they had a huge variety of dishes. The vegetables and meats were all very fresh, even at 11 pm! The owners were also incredibly kind!!

I love malatang and have visited several YGF Malatang locations, but this one really missed the mark. About halfway through my bowl, I found a hair in my food — and unfortunately, it ended up in my mouth before I noticed. Needless to say, I was completely disgusted and lost my appetite immediately. I reported it to a waiter (the guy with a single earring), who was actually reassuring and handled the situation professionally at first. However, another woman stepped in and took over the interaction, and that’s when things went downhill. Considering I had already eaten half the bowl and was no longer hungry after what happened, her solution was simply to remake the dish. While I understand that’s the standard fix, it felt tone-deaf given the circumstances — I didn’t want another bowl at that point. After remaking a bowl I didn’t even want, she offered me a can of Sprite, seemingly as compensation — despite the fact that we had already ordered drinks. It honestly felt like an afterthought rather than a sincere attempt to make things right. Out of all the YGF locations I’ve been to, this was by far the most disappointing. Even the usual perks like free ice cream were missing. Overall, a frustrating experience at what’s normally a reliable spot

I agree. I also spoke to this same employee, and her service was extremely poor. From the moment I entered the store, she showed absolutely no basic courtesy. She didn't greet me, and when I asked questions, she was impatient, her tone harsh, and even blatantly disrespectful, making me feel very uncomfortable. In the service industry, this attitude is completely unacceptable. I noticed her employee badge had the name "Hana." Furthermore, during the ordering process, she was clearly perfunctory and unprofessional, her attitude cold and even dismissive. The whole process felt like being "forced to consume," not a normal dining experience. The most basic requirement in the restaurant industry is service awareness, but this employee clearly failed to do so. Regardless of the food quality, the poor service severely impacted the overall experience. I hope the restaurant will prioritize employee training and at least ensure basic respect for customers.

The extra spicy was way too spicy. I'm not particularly bad with spicy food, but I chose the extra spicy option from the mild, regular, extra spicy, and super spicy options, and it was so spicy my nose wouldn't stop running. I went to the chopsticks corner and put some sesame sauce, green onions, and cashews (I think?) into a small dish and mixed it with the extra spicy soup to reduce the spiciness, and only then was I able to eat it. I don't think the taste was bad, though. I feel like the enjoyment of choosing is part of the fun at this restaurant. Personally, I prefer going to a Japanese tantanmen restaurant and eating tantanmen there. The lines are always long, and I don't think I'll go there again of my own accord. 🧐

DO NOT GO HERE. Hair in my food gave me food poisoning not good flavor. Not clean and Not fresh. They also took out half of the food i put in my bowl and the guy (howard?) who was asian gave me the most awful service ive EVER received…

Thomas Kriegel

The most important thing about Mara-Tang is the broth, but it no longer tastes as intense and full-bodied as it used to. For the past few months, it's tasted strongly of artificial flavor enhancers, and since the ingredients aren't replenished in time, I haven't been able to eat what I wanted. I'm disappointed that neither the taste nor the atmosphere is what it used to be.

ならなら

I didn't think it was delicious. I went to the restaurant because Diane Tsuda said it was delicious on YouTube, which piqued my interest. My impressions are: The restaurant is far too small. The staff barely speak Japanese, and their accents are so strong I can't understand them. They don't accept credit cards. The price is determined by the weight of the ingredients, but there's no scale along the way, which is very inconvenient. Many of the ingredients are frozen, and the seafood and processed fish products still smell strange even after being cooked in the soup. I'm worried that young people think this is popular = delicious! I simply felt it wasn't tasty. It's very disappointing. The toilet was small, but thankfully it had soap and alcohol.

Sunny Sunflower

The food tasted awful, just like always. If you've ever eaten at this chain before, you know what to expect. We initially wanted to eat in, but then everything got too hectic. They didn't accept card payments, and Alipay didn't work either. The cashier pressured us to withdraw cash, even though nothing had been cooked yet. The service was terrible; we had to pay extra for takeout. At the end, when I wanted to take chopsticks with me, she said there were some in my bag and laughed at me. And when I got home, I didn't have any. They were all out of sauces and didn't refill them... and we weren't given any to take with us.

FENG MA

The taste was so-so. The main problem was that it caused diarrhea after eating it. If you have work the next day, definitely don't eat it. I've had diarrhea four times in 24 hours.

ニックネームなし

Even level 1 spiciness was unexpectedly spicy, with the spiciness and numbing sensation being stronger than the flavor. Well, taste is a matter of personal preference, so it just didn't suit me. I don't think children could eat it. I also saw other people's bills, and they were generally around 1,700 to 2,500 yen. I don't think the hygiene is good. They seem to cook each portion in small pots, but they only lightly rinse the pots; they barely seem to wash them. I wonder if it's safe for allergies... The tongs aren't provided for each ingredient; customers take their own bowls and tongs at the beginning and use their tongs to pick up ingredients. This means you're using the same tongs to pick up various ingredients. I'm increasingly worried about allergies... The staff replenishes the ingredients when they run low, but almost everything except the vegetables seems to be frozen. Seeing them roughly open the bags and replenish the ingredients right in front of the customers is really off-putting. I assume most restaurants use frozen ingredients, but I think they should take the trays to the kitchen and replenish them out of the customers' sight. Frankly, displaying rock-hard frozen meat and seafood doesn't look very appetizing... Overall, I won't be returning, and I still don't understand why it's so popular.

masamasa

On a rainy day, after waiting for about 30 minutes, I went back to check how much longer I'd have to wait because I had work. They told me they had a second and third floor and could seat me immediately. When I went upstairs, there were plenty of empty seats. I didn't understand why they made me wait. Since they sell frozen ingredients by weight, it's no wonder the prices are high. The soup was made with lots of spices, but I couldn't really taste it. It definitely wasn't healthy. I could see the kitchen from my seat. It was dirty. If I had seen the kitchen beforehand, I think I would have left without ordering.

We came as a group of three, but one person's food was served first, while the other two had to wait 10-15 minutes. As a result, the food was cold by the time we ate, which was very disappointing. Also, regarding sharing a table, we were asked "Is it okay if we share a table?", but before we could respond, the table was moved and the person we were sharing was already waiting, so we were essentially in a situation where we couldn't refuse. We told them we had luggage, but no consideration was shown, and even when our napkins and chopsticks almost fell off when they moved the table, no apology was given. The restaurant was small and didn't feel very clean, and overall our visit left us dissatisfied with the service and operation.

Usa Hosi

To be honest, it's not tasty!!! I'll never come back! This time I ordered mala tan, but the soup had a strange sweetness. I was hoping for a rich, flavorful soup, but honestly, the soup was bad... The worst thing of all was the service. When customers asked, they just shook their heads without answering. I even saw a female staff member harass a customer who couldn't choose the complimentary noodles right away. The restaurant is small, but there are so many tables that it's difficult to move around. And even though there's water on the table, the cups are at the entrance... Honestly, the food isn't worth waiting in line for an hour to eat in a cramped seat. The mala tan in Kawasaki is 100 times more delicious.

緑茶ちゃん

It was awful, cramped, and terrible. The bamboo shoots were too hard to eat, the soup had no flavor, neither the beef bone broth nor the mala spice... The plates were dirty, stains that couldn't be removed without bleach. As others have said, they keep cramming customers in, making it cramped, and the food is ready even though there are no seats. People who ordered after me are sitting down, it's just awful. I told them I was out of water and waited, but they never came. They asked if they wanted me to take away the food even though there was still some left. Anyway, it was awful, and in the end, the water never came. The waiter was picking his nose. I'm never going back.

Because it's a popular restaurant, there's a long wait even when it's not mealtime. The interior is quite small and cramped. Even though it's beef bone soup, it felt spicy, so be careful if you don't like spicy food. It was a disappointment...

蔣昀芮

I order this place quite often, but I was shocked today. We ordered two servings of white fish, but the portions were tiny and mostly broken up. Halfway through, we found two shrimp tentacles and two shrimp tails? (We didn't order any shrimp!) Did they just add the broth from the previous customer to our serving? The noodles were also tiny; the overall portion size was drastically reduced. Are they closing up shop and just cooking whatever's available? 😻

Sprout

I am a Mala Tang lover, but the lines are always too long and the taste isn't very good. It’s strange because every YGF Mala Tang location seems to have a rating of 4 or higher. I didn't even add lamb, but the distinctive smell is so strong that it is a bit off-putting. I barely managed to get in after waiting in line, but there wasn't even any peanut sauce. The interior is also very crowded, and since there are so many Uber Eats users, it is really chaotic.

のん

I went with two friends, but we were seated separately, two against one. The service from the staff was terrible. They pointed at us and cursed at us in Chinese, even though there were many other customers in the restaurant. The food was so bad it was ruined. They were also yelling at other customers, which was very unpleasant. The customer service was awful.

ふくおかみなこ

They offer a discount on your way out, so you're encouraged to write a Google review. I paid the full price and left because I had a bad impression of the store's customer service, but all the other customers waiting in line at the register had written reviews. In that case, it felt like paying the full price was a bit overpriced, and since all the other customers were getting a discount, I didn't feel very good about it. *The customer service was bad, but the food wasn't bad. *Posted with a time lag

This place is a rip off, I’ve been going there since last summer and it was great. I generally get the vegetables with the beef bone broth. The last two times there was no broth just steamed vegetables. I told the guy at the register and he suggested to put the broth separately, which I thought was quite nice. When I got to the office I realized they took the two of the noodle stacks out of my order I paid for. I was so disappointed. I have decided I will never spent my money there since they are twilling to steal from their customers. On top of that the custom tip button does not work. What a rip Off.

On the second floor, there was a tall, thin male waiter with a mainland Chinese accent, who had a dark complexion and an attitude as if someone owed him money. The table from the previous table was very dirty and hadn't been wiped. Even after I told him, he still wouldn't clean it.

When we came to the restaurant as a group of three, we were asked if it was okay to sit next to each other because there were no tables available for three. Before we could even answer, we were led to a table on the second floor, which was next to another table separated by an aisle, so we couldn't eat together as a group. When we asked the staff about it, they yelled at us in incomprehensible Japanese. Afterwards, the staff pointed at each other and said something mean in Chinese right in front of us, even though there were other customers present.

After tipping 18% on a takeout order, the cashier short-changed me and accused me instead. Terrible and unprofessional service

I used to like this place until they force you to tip. It’s a self-service place please! If you don’t tip well they kinda serve you half-raw food. Very rude. Never again.
